Your Love Story

June 19, 2016

Come sit down with me and tell me what the two of you are all about.

Whether your urban chic, big city or a multicultural cosmopolitan couple, the “sum total” of both of your personalities makes you a unique couple like no other.

Here are a some thoughts to reflect on before you come to visit with me. It will help me to help you in creating your ceremony.

So…here are just a few of the questions I ask my couples when we have a consultation:

What is your style preference (elegant, simple, religious, non-religious, spiritual upbeat celebration etc.)?

How would you like you and your guest to feel during the ceremony?

  • How did you meet and fall in love? How did he/she purpose?

  • What qualities do you value in each other?

  • What type of things do you enjoy doing or sharing together?

  • Would you like to write your own vows or would you like me to write vows for you that fit your personalities?

  • Does your ceremony site hold significance to the two of you?

  • What is your relationship about (trust, best friend, personal growth, passion, soul mate, etc.)?

  • Do you have any ideas or concerns about your wedding?

To help design the perfect wedding you will want to keep in mind the following considerations:

  • What do you want to say about your relationship?

  • What stories do you want to tell?

  • Because your wedding ceremony is the public blueprint for what you expect and hope for in your marriage, what do you want to say about the meaning of marriage, both for your own benefit and for that of your guest.

  • What is the style of your ceremony and what is the image that you want to project through it?

A performance, an intimate conversation, a religious ritual, a festival, a gathering of the clan or a social event?

Hopefully, with these questions in mind, your will be off to a great start in the feeling, the meaning and the tone of your wedding and the fruition of the “sum total” of the two of you.
