Readers

How wonderful to have a beloved friend or family member come forward to give a personalized reading at your wedding.

Make sure whom ever you chose is comfortable with public speaking. Never require them to memorize the words they are to speak. It is a reading.

Keep the reading short.

Keep the reading relevant.

In other words, have them read a poem about love but not a testimony of your love. You don't want the reader to say "I love you because...but read about love in general.

Readings help make a connection with your guest by including them as part of the celebration of your special moment of becoming husband and wife.

Following the reading, the reader will give each of you a hug.

A perfect and memorable contribution indeed!
