Children in Weddings

May 11, 2015

Children can be a wonderful addition to your wedding day!

Just remember, a wedding ceremony can be very stressful for the very young child.

Do not expect perfection.

I usually have children under the age of twelve walk down the aisle and then take their seats with a parent of guardian.

With a very short attention span they just don't have the ability to stand still or quite during a wedding ceremony.

Children under the age of three are hit and miss on their ability to make it all the way down the aisle unless they are escorted by an older sibling or family member.

Always have on stand by, a parent or family member the child knows well, to scoop them up and remove them from the area if they become tearfull or frightened.

I love having children participate in weddings.

Couples who have children, are always welcomed to have their children participate at any level in their wedding. The Family Medallion ceremony is one of my favorites.
