A MOMENT IN TIME

Bridal Portraits are a big part of the wedding industry.  Brides spend lots of money, time and effort in choosing just the right gown, shoes, jewelry, hair and make-up for it all to be captured with one click of the camera’s button.

How do you make the outcome great?

  • Realize what time of day your energy is the best.  Are you a morning person or an afternoon person?  Pick accordingly.

  • Show up on time! Don’t keep the photographer waiting.  Be polite and respectful of his or her time.  A rushed and haired trip to the session WILL show in your photo’s.

  • Eat a meal before you go.  Photo sessions that will require hair, make-up and for you to dress yourself (bring a girlfriend or mom to help you with your gown) will drain your energy very quickly.

  • Don’t pick the heat of the day especially in Texas.  You’ll be miserable and look less than your best.

  • Do bring make-up and hair items you might need.

  • Don’t over due your make-up or your hair.  If you do, you won’t look like you.  You do need a bit more make-up than normal but not overly made up.  Your goal is to look pretty not… pretty scary.

  • Know what kind of photo’s your going for before you go to the shoot.  Outdoor carefree or indoors and formal.  Work the details out with the photographer.

  • Don’t worry about the dress.  Bridal gowns today are very durable.  If you do get a stain on it or it becomes wrinkled while doing the shoot, call your bridal consultant and let them know.  They are usually happy to work with you to make it “wedding day” ready.

Have fun, relax and take a deep breath!

It’s your day and your time to take it all in.  With a little pre-planning your bridal portraits will be beautiful and capture a moment in time that will be yours for a lifetime.
